About Imperial Grove:
Nestled along the Maine coastline, Imperial Grove is a fictional resort that invites travelers seeking both serenity and adventure. Named after the majestic trees once harvested for the King of England's naval ships, Imperial Grove blends Maine's rich history with the whimsy and charm of a New England getaway. This vintage-style resort is situated between the rugged coastline and ancient forests, offering the perfect balance of forest and sea. Whether you prefer curling up with a good book, savoring fine dining featuring local cuisine, or exploring scenic hiking trails, Imperial Grove promises something for everyone.
About this Project:
This passion project was inspired by a fall trip to Maine, where I was captivated by the striking combination of coastal beauty and deep, rich forests. I imagined a vintage resort that perfectly embodied this duality—nestled beneath the pines and beside the sea.
It was also the ideal opportunity to introduce a friendly yet elegant brand mascot. Enter Gilbert the sea serpent! According to local legend, Gilbert guards the coastline, emerging from his resting place beneath the lighthouse to protect ships navigating stormy seas. Gilbert serves as the welcoming face of the brand, building trust with visitors and bridging the gap between land and sea. His woodland-inspired markings, etched into his scales, reinforce the resort’s connection to its surroundings.
